Is it normal for the lipstick color to fade slightly after eating?

Yes eating foods that contain oils (such as salad dressings, olive oil, or greasy foods) may cause the liquid matte lipstick to break down. While the formula sets dry on the lips, oils can alter its properties. In fact, oils are one of the easiest ways to remove liquid lipstick. If you’re eating oil-free foods, however, the lipstick should stay in place even during your meal!
